The best option for Chinese in "the Grove" Don't let the dim interior frighten you off. I enjoy the veggie lo mein lunch portion or the Singapore noodles without shrimp. There are times when it is a bit on the spicy side (good thing) and seems to change color from time to time; however it is a pretty good dish. Service is always very friendly and food is usually pretty quick. A very solid offering.

This a review based on their customer service. I ordered delivery and nobody showed up. When I called to ask about it, they said they already delivered it. They said a lady signed for it. I actually live alone. Instead of owning the mistake, the delivery guy basically called me a liar. The lady who takes orders probably speaks 50 words of English, but she confirmed my address 2x. Tom Moy doesn't deliver and also has horrible customer service, but the food is better, you can understand them, and worth the drive (just check your order before you leave).

Come early under new management and ownership I have tried this place in the past and have been disappointed but come to find out it is under new ownership.. much better now..everything is fresher and better tasting...

Food tasted a lot better under original owners. Haven't tried the new ones until just recently and I felt sick throughout my night thereafter until I threw it all up. I was fine until I ate there and it made me feel sicker than any food I've ever eaten including fast food. Not satisfied with the new place.

So-so. The building is scary inside. The lights and interior made me run the first time...I came back later when I calmed down from how scary it was good. Ok food. For take out ONLY! Don't eat at this place, it's scary.

we love Bamboo Garden. the delivery service and food had always been great. we appreciate having a delivery food other than fast food. not a lot of good options in CG. the portions are always way more than we need. only thing I haven't cared for are the egg rolls. they never seem to taste very fresh so we've been going more with pot stickers but I do love a good egg roll.

Not bad for the middle of nowhere! Food was tasty, we got the moo shu pork and the orange chicken. The food was much better than those Chinese chains you see in the mall and the portion size was out of control. We got 3 meals out of our 2 entrees. Decor and ambiance was pretty grim but you can always get the food to go and at least they did have a few places to sit and eat.

Some of the best Chinese food I have EVER had! The szechuan beef is AMAZING, and the portion sizes are HUGE, which works out great if you want to eat the same thing the next day for lunch! The food is so good, your stomach will thank you for the leftovers. I have a friend who lives in Cottage Grove, and nearly every time I visit her I call in an order to Bamboo Garden. You should do the same the next time you're in the neighborhood.

Always ready when I get there. My dining companion and I have a good system where she calls in the order and I pick it up on my way. It's always ready and hot. We usually get two entrees with one order of egg rolls. The total is less than $20. I think that's pretty reasonable. We have tried a lot of the chicken dishes and a couple of the pork dishes. I like the pepper chicken and the black bean chicken quite a bit. We liked everything we have ordered so far, no bad dishes. Everything has been take out, there is not a lot of seating in there and honestly, it's not the most appealing place to sit and eat. I will definitely keep returning to Bamboo Garden for some favorites as well as to try new dishes.

I'm usually a bit skeptical about Chinese restaurants as I've had some bad experiences in the past. I'll say Bamboo Garden has restored my faith in take-out. Wow wow wow! Amazing food, good variety, moderately priced, and made fresh! I should add massive portions! Had enough to take home and make a whole nother meal. They do mostly take out but do have a small dining room to eat in if you choose. I would definitely recommend this place and will most certainly be ordering from them in the future.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
